FAIRMONT — Avery Hamer drove in three runs as Buckhannon-Upshur picked up a 7-2 win over Fairmont Senior on Friday night.

The Lady Bucs held a 1-0 lead before plating three runs in the fifth when Hamer singled in Kristine Frye and Kynnedy Marple scored on the throw.

An error by the Lady Polars Bears extended the lead to 4-0.

Fairmont Senior dented the scoreboard on a two-run error in the sixth.

But B-U added another run-producing single from Hamer and Maddy Tucker’s RBI double in the seventh.

Tucker had three hits on the night.

Hamer’s RBI sacrifice fly in the third started the scoring.

Becca Pastorius went the distance to earn the win, allowing six hits and striking out 10.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to entertain Woodrow Wilson at 1 p.m. today.
