Lady Mountain Lions cruise past East Hardy, 22-7

PARSONS -- Peyton Hicks and Ava Shaffer had four RBIs and three hits each to power Tucker County to a 22-7 victory over East Hardy Tuesday in PVC action.

Sutton Pace added four RBIs as well on a pair of hits for the Lady Mountain Lions. Bella Loucks, Reagan Herron and Carlee Nicholas had two hits apiece.

Shaffer earned the win in three innings of action, allowing seven unearned runs on three hits and fanning six.

Tucker County (5-6) visits Moorefield tonight for another PVC contest.

University 13, B-U 5

MORGANTOWN -- Buckhannon-Upshur dropped a 13-5 verdict to University on Tuesday.

Alyssa Abel had a big game in the loss for the Lady Bucs going 3 for 3 with three RBIs and cracking a two-run first-inning homer.

Maddie Campbell and Olivia Masoner had two RBIs each for the Lady Hawks, who had 11 hits on the night.

Campbell earned the win in four innings of scoreless relief, allowing three hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Becca Pastorius and Kailey Hart both saw time on the mound for B-U.

Hart was tagged with the loss, surrendering four runs on three hits over 2 1/3 innings of relief.

Pastorius went the first two frames, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out one.

The Lady Bucs (8-7) venture to Grafton on Thursday for a Big 10 Conference game.
