Wolfe pitches Colts past Vikings

PETERSBURG -- Kale Wolfe pitched a complete-game four-hitter as Philip Barbour claimed a 6-1 win over Petersburg on Thursday night.

Wolfe struck out five and walked two.

Peyton Tingler took the loss for the Vikings, working all seven innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs, with three strikeouts and three walks.

The Colts did most of their damage in the first inning, plating four runs as Kent Rowan doubled in a pair and Landyn Carpenter and Anthony Mosesso had RBI singles.

They added two more runs in the third as Robbie Jones had a run-producing single and Mosesso an RBI sacrifice fly.

Tinger had an RBI single in the bottom of the third for the Vikings.

Philip Barbour (13-2) is slated to host Bridgeport today.
