Moore pitches TV past Tucker

Pendleton County captures 11-0 win over Bath County

MILL CREEK -- Kaden Moore struck out 12 and allowed just three hits in a complete-game effort to lift Tygarts Valley to a 7-0 win over Tucker County on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs (16-6) will be the top seed in next week's Class A, Region II tournament.

Tygarts Valley gave Moore all the run support he would need by plating four runs in the first inning.

Jacob Wamsley was hit-by-a-pitch to score a run, Austin Gear and Ian Harris had RBI singles and an error made it 4-0.

A run-producing single by Moore in the fourth extended the advantage to 5-0, and the Bulldogs tacked on a pair of scores in the sixth.

Reece Poling went four innings in taking the loss, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking one.

Austin Teter went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Bulldogs, with Wamsley finishing with two RBIs.

Adam Woods, Moore and Austin Wilson also had two hits each.

One of Woods' safeties was a double.

Blake Helmick, Cade Rapp and Luke Barr had the hits for the Mountain Lions.

Tygarts Valley is slated to host Harman on Friday in the scheduled regular-season finale.

Pendleton 11, Bath County 0

FRANKLIN -- Chase Owens gave up just two hits over five innings as Pendleton County blanked Bath County (Va.), 11-0, on Wednesday.

Owens fanned nine and didn't issue a walk.

Cole Harper and Travis Owens had two RBIs each for the Wildcats. Chase Owens added a double.

Pendleton County (9-14) hosts Jefferson at 5 p.m. Friday.
