MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia is just under 100 days away from its season opener at Milan Puskar Stadium against Robert Morris on Aug. 30.
It's getting to the point where fans are starting to plan trips to watch the new-look Mountaineers under Rich Rodriguez.
Season tickets are on sale for the 2025 season, and ESPN has each game's lowest ticket price listed using Vivid Seats.
A couple of games will break the bank, with most of them affordable out of the six home games on the slate. The away games aren't too expensive either, with the most expensive at $186 being at Kansas on Sept. 20.
To plan ahead, here are the lowest ticket prices for the 2025 season for all six home games from least expensive to most.
Robert Morris: $55
One of the cheapest games of the season is the home opener against Robert Morris, and the cheapest home game. The start of the second go-around of Rodriguez costs $55, which is a fair price for the season opener.
The price makes sense, since Robert Morris isn't a formidable opponent as an FCS team. It's one of the games where West Virginia paid the school to get a lot of reps before playing conference opponents later in the year.
Robert Morris is one of the better FCS teams, finishing 7-5 last year, and it could be close to start with the Mountaineers dusting off the cobwebs. But, it will likely not be too competitive, dropping the price. The game isn't an option to bet on in the recently released Week 1 games, which normally means the spread is too big.
This will be a cheap game if you're on a budget.
Texas Tech: $70
The second-most-expensive home ticket is the final game of the season. The first and last are the two cheapest home games.
Texas Tech is the cheapest Big 12 home game, which is interesting because the Red Raiders could be a sleeper team this season.
Texas Tech currently has the second-highest transfer portal rating, according to 247Sports, adding 21 players. The team is going to look a lot different than last year's 8-5 team.
Experts think the same. In ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25, the Red Raiders were ranked No. 16, the fifth-highest Big 12 team. There's a chance they are ranked.
However, there are downsides to this game. The game is in late November, so it'll likely be cold. Like last year, there's a chance West Virginia or Texas Tech aren't competitive at that point. Those are the reasons for the cheaper price.
Utah: $82
Utah's an early game in the season and the first Big 12 home game on Sept. 27.
The Utes didn't have a great 2024, and there isn't an indication that they'll be any better in 2025. Utah had a worse season than West Virginia. Both teams are fighting for being above mediocracy, so it should be a winnable and competitive game in 2025.
In the middle of September, the weather will be cooler and should be football weather, probably spiking the price for the game. It's also the first Big 12 home game, too.
TCU: $98
TCU is usually a competitive team, even having an off year last season. Sonny Dykes had his team ranked twice in the past five seasons, with a National Championship appearance. TCU hovers around .500.
The Horned Frogs are another competitive matchup for West Virginia. The two squads haven't played since 2023, when the Mountaineers went to Texas and won. West Virginia has won six of the last eight matchups.
It'll be a big conference booster if West Virginia continues history.
Colorado: $124
The second-highest home game is self-explanatory. Colorado and Deion Sanders is a show, even if the game is in early November. Everyone wants to see the party Sanders brings.
In the past, the Buffaloes weren't must-see, but now with Sanders as the head coach, all eyes are on them, making it more expensive. Colorado was also a top-ranked team last season and had a shot at the Big 12 Championship.
This year, Colorado might take a step back without Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter or starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Colorado and Sanders reloaded with talent, though, and they'll still have a solid team.
This is the first time West Virginia's played Colorado since Sanders took over.
The two teams haven't played each other since 2009.
Pitt: $211
The Backyard Brawl is coming back to Morgantown for the 2025 season. The most expensive game on West Virginia's slate, and rightfully so.
This is West Virginia's last non-conference matchup before the Big 12 matchups and a test to make sure the Mountaineers are prepared.
This is the fourth-straight year the Backyard Brawl has taken place since the rivalry was renewed in 2022 after a 10-year hiatus. In the past three years, two of the three games were one score, with the one having a difference of 11 points.
This is West Virginia's biggest rivalry, warranting the hefty price tag. This is also Rodriguez's first Backyard Brawl since leaving, so it'll be special.
