Tigers cruise to victory over Notre Dame

ELKINS -- Braden Cooper went 4 for 4 and drove in three runs to power Elkins to a 17-1 win over Notre Dame on Saturday.

Brayden Biller added a two-run homer as part of a 10-run third inning.

Dyer Barger also went 4 for 4 with three RBIs on the day, while Trent Stone had a pair of RBIs.

Biller went all five innings to earn the win, giving up three hits, striking out seven and walking two.

The Tigers (6-17) are slated to host Buckhannon-Upshur at 6 p.m. today.

Keyser 7, PB 3

KEYSER -- Keyser snapped Philip Barbour's nine-game winning streak with a 7-3 victory on Saturday.

Lucas Williamson twirled a complete-game six-hitter to earn the win, striking out eight and walking one.

Kale Wolfe was tagged with the loss, giving up five runs on two hits over three innings. He struck out four and walked four.

Nick Gonzales finished in relief, giving up two runs on two hits, fanning five and walking three.

Anthony Mosesso and Kent Rowan had RBIs for the Colts. Landyn Carpenter added two hits.

Williamson and Lucas Davy had two RBIs each for the Golden Tornado.

Pendleton 19, Tucker 0

PARSONS -- Cole Harper drove in five runs and Travis Owens four as Pendleton County claimed a 19-0 win over Tucker County on Friday night.

Owens had a two-run homer in the third and RBI doubles in each of the first and second innings.

Chase Owens allowed just one hit over four innings to earn the win. He struck out eight and walked one.

Owen Helmick took the loss. He also had the lone hit for the Mountain Lions.

The Wildcats are slated to visit Pocahontas County at 5 p.m. today, while Tucker County travels to Tygarts Valley at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
