MILL CREEK — Jacob Wamsley is known for his play in basketball and baseball during his career at Tygarts Valley.
His football debut was pretty good as well on Friday night as the senior accounted for four touchdowns, rushed for 180 yards, recovered a fumble and excelled on special teams as the Bulldogs gave Jay Bennett a victory in his first game as head coach in a 54-13 win over Valley-Wetzel at Bulldog Field.
It was the most points Tygarts Valley has scored since the 2000.
The Bulldogs bolted out to a 32-13 lead at the halftime, getting a pair touchdown runs from Wamsley and one each from quarterback Austin Gear and Noah McAtee on a 39-yard jolt.
Wamsley also found the end zone on a scoop-and-score on a blocked punt.
