Colts trip Bucs in lightning-shortened matchup, 34-10
TENNERTON — Philip Barbour claimed a 34-10 win over Buckhannon-Upshur in a lightning-shortened contest Friday night at Freal “Red” Crites Memorial Stadium.
The game was called with 5 minutes left in the third quarter due to the weather.
Cam Bennett had a 97-yard kickoff return for a score and a 76-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Colts, who led 27-10 at halftime.
Dawson Tenney had a 27-yard scoring pass to Easton Metzner and Aiden Snyder a field goal in the first half for the Bucs.
Robbie Jones had a 31-yard TD pass to Patrick Webster, who also scored on an 11-yard run for Philip Barbour.
Landyn Carpenter also found the end zone in the victory on a 13-yard scamper just before halftime.
The Colts (2-0) remain on the road next Friday at North Marion, while B-U (0-2) travels to University on the same evening.
