ELKINS — Elkins battled Fairmont Senior to a 1-1 draw Tuesday night at Tiger Stadium in Big 10 Conference action.

The Lady Tigers are now 2-0-1 under first-year coach Declan McGill, earning wins over Philip Barbour (1-0) and Frankfort (5-0).

Elkins led 1-0 at halftime in Tuesday’s match and will remain home at 5:30 p.m. Thursday against Lincoln for another Big 10 contest.

Beginning this season, the Tigers are now paired in Class AAA, Region II with Bridgeport, Lewis County, Robert C. Byrd, Hampshire and Keyser.

The Lady Polar Bears are now 0-0-2.

B-U 8, Philip Barbour 1

TENNERTON — Buckhannon-Upshur claimed an 8-1 win over Philip Barbour Tuesday in Big 10 Conference play at Ted Crites Alumni Field at Tom Hasbrouck Stadium.

The Lady Bucs will visit Preston at 6 p.m. Thursday for another league match, while the Lady Colts entertain East Fairmont at 5:30 p.m. the same evening in Big 10 play.
