Late goal allows Tigers to earn 2-2 draw with RCB
CLARKSBURG — Elkins battled Robert C. Byrd to a 2-2 draw Thursday night in Big 10 Conference action.
The Tigers (5-0-2) trailed 1-0 after Ethan Lake’s score before Tristan Whited found the back of the net midway through the first half.
The Flying Eagles the lead on a goal 15 minutes into the second half.
Elliot Arbogast responded for Elkins with 5 minutes to play to tie the match.
“This was a good result for us tonight,” Tigers coach Scott Cutright said. “We went down twice in the game, but the boys were a resilient bunch and found a way to equalize each time.
“We stay undefeated and look to carry the momentum into this weekend.”
Elkins visits regional foe Keyser at 1 p.m. today.
