ELKINS — The 103rd meeting between Buckhannon-Upshur and Elkins didn’t lack any offense.
The teams combined for the most points in the series which began in 1920 as the Class AAA, No. 7 Tigers claimed a 57-29 win over the Class AAAA, 16th-rated Bucs in front of the homecoming crowd assembled at Tiger Stadium.
The previous high was 81 points set in Elkins’ 57-24 victory in 2007.
Seth Robinson led the potent running game for the Tigers, rumbling for 270 yards and three scores on the night.
He was complimented by Jaden Hatfield with 151 yards and two scores and Logan Beam 82 yards and three touchdowns.

A 64-yard return by Beam on the opening kickoff set the tone for the contest and led to Robinson’s 2-yard TD to make it 6-0.
B-U answered on their first possession of the evening when Elijah Watkins went in from two yards out to give the visitors an early 7-6 lead after Aiden Snyder’s conversion kick.
Beam scored the next two touchdowns for the Tigers from six yards and one yard to make it 20-7, then after Snyder connected on a 30-yard field goal for the Bucs, Hatfield broke free for a 39-yard score to make it 28-10 at halftime after the two-point conversion.
Quarterback Dawson Tenney and receiver Jacob Frey ignited the Buc offense in the second half, connecting on three touchdown passes from 67, 1 and 20 yards.
Robinson added scoring runs of 57 and 59 in the second half for Elkins, while Beam and Hatfield added scores.
Tenney finished 18 of 32 through the air for 334 yards. Frey hauled in 10 receptions for 224 yards.
Tenney added an additional 58 yards on the ground.
The Tigers, off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2012, travel to Class AA, No. 4 Philip Barbour next Friday.
B-U (0-4) is idle until visiting Fairmont Senior on Oct. 3.
