Winfield hands Tigers first loss of the year, 4-1

ELKINS — Winfield netted four second-half goals to hand Elkins its first loss of the season, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers are now 8-1-2 on the season.
It was the most goals they have surrendered through the first 11 games of the campaign.
The match was scoreless at the intermission.
The Generals received two second-half goals from Shae Knolles.
Brayden Wissler and Brady Sutler also found the back of the net for Winfield after halftime.
Elkins looks to get back on track at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grafton for a Big 10 Conference contest.
The Tigers remain on the road at East Fairmont on Thursday, before returning home at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 against Moorefield for a non-conference tilt.
