TENNERTON — The Elkins Middle School girls soccer team lost a 5-3 decision to Buckhannon-Upshur on Wednesday.

Goals for the Lady Hornets were scored by Evelynn Wing, Grace Fletcher and Kendall Ward.

“This was a challenging game,” EMS coach Andrew Roidt said. “The girls played hard, possessed well and created scoring opportunities for each other. However, Buckhannon capitalized better on their scoring opportunities.”

The Lady Hornets (7-4-2) begin conference tourney play the week of Oct. 27.
