Tygarts Valley Youth Football League’s ‘B’ team to play in title game

MILL CREEK — The Tygarts Valley Youth Football League’s “B” Team (ages 7-9) is making Tygarts Valley football history.
Tygarts Valley will face the West Preston Warriors at 2 p.m. Sunday at Masontown in the Preston County Youth Football League title game for the first time ever.
“This achievement is a huge milestone for our program and for these young athletes,” a league spokesperson stated. “Most of these kids started the season knowing very little about football, but through dedication, teamwork and heart, they’ve finished the season with an impressive 3-1 record.”
Tygarts Valley defeated the Tucker County Mountain Lions, 31-0, over the weekend to secure its spot in the championship game.
“These children have worked incredibly hard all season and deserve every bit of recognition,” the spokesperson added.
The league will hold sign-ups in the spring for the 2026 season. All youth in Randolph County are welcome to join in on the fun and become part of this growing program.
The outstanding players representing Tygarts Valley in the championships game include, Brayden Shrader, Brody Arbogast, Mason Shreve, Zavier Dennison, Kyler Mayle, Tripp George, Tate Graham, Wyatt Decker, Isaiah Decker, Landon Scott, Jacob Currence and Brennan Phares.
Jay Shrader, Brandon Scott and Justin Close serve as the coaches.
Cheerleaders are Iris Decker, Grace Scott, Lily Humphrey, Aubriana Pritt and Selena Gaines.
