SUMMERSVILLE — Sarah Defibaugh and Emily Smith scored 14 points apiece to lead Tygarts Valley to a 48-33 win over Greenbrier West in Summersville Winter Classic play on Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs (3-2) return to action in the Classic at 6:30 p.m. today against Greater Beckley Christian.

Smith, Alyssa Swecker and Kailen Yokum each scored four points in the opening quarter as Tygarts Valley took a 16-4 lead.

Yokum finished with seven points.

The Lady Bulldogs carried a 30-9 advantage into the intermission break.

Gracie Rhodes netted 11 points for the Lady Cavaliers, who are now 1-4 and will face Greater Beckley Christian at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Classic play.
