Bell, Wamsley help Bulldogs best Warriors

DUNMORE — Parker Bell and Jacob Wamsley combined for 45 points to lead Tygarts Valley to a 67-53 victory over regional foe Pocahontas County Wednesday night in PVC action.

The Bulldogs are now 2-4 and visit Notre Dame this evening.

Tygarts Valley led 17-15 after one quarter and carried a 36-25 advantage into halftime.

Bell netted 11 of his game-high 25 points in the second canto.

The Warriors held a 16-13 scoring edge to get within 49-41 after three quarters but were outscored 18-12 in the final period.

Wamsley finished with 20 points on the night. Adam Woods just missed double figures with nine markers.

Carter Vandevander tossed in 20 points and Ben Workman 16 to pace Pocahontas County, which hosts Man at 2 p.m. Saturday.
