ELKINS -- A big second quarter propelled Elkins to a 46-26 win over North Marion Tuesday night in Big 10 Conference play inside Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymnasium.
The Lady Tigers, who limited the Lady Huskies to just nine field goals on the evening, led 5-4 after the first quarter before outscoring North, 17-6, in the second frame to build a 22-10 halftime edge.
The lead grew to 34-17 after three quarters.
Emma Gilbert led Elkins with 12 points, followed by Ziah George with 10.
All 10 players dressed reached the scoring column for the Lady Tigers.
Reagan Ash had six for the Lady Huskies.
Elkins remains home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to battle Philip Barbour for another Big 10 tilt.
