MILL CREEK -- A big second half propelled Class A, No. 6 Tucker County to a 58-51 win over Tygarts Valley Tuesday night in a battle of regional foes at Weber-Wamsley Court.
Sam Marks fired in 20 points for the Mountain Lions, who erased a 27-22 halftime deficit by outscoring the Bulldogs, 17-12 in the third and 19-12 in the fourth.
Mikey Mitchell and Cayden Arnold added 11 apiece.
Parker Bell drilled five treys in finishing with 27 points for Tygarts Valley. Jacob Wamsley chipped in 18.
Tucker County (8-5) returns to action Friday in the Magnolia Tournament.
The Bulldogs (5-6) visit East Hardy the same evening.
On Saturday, Tygarts Valley defeated Paw Paw, 72-53, on the road.
Bell had 24 points and six steals, Wamsley 20 points and seven rebounds, Alex Scott six rebounds and six assists, Adam Woods five assists and three steals and Aidan Phares 10 caroms.
