Second-half surge carries Bees past Tigers
EAST FAIRMONT — East Fairmont pulled away in the second half to post a 66-45 victory over Elkins Monday night in Big 10 Conference action.
The Tigers trailed 26-22 at halftime but the Bees held a 23-11 scoring edge in the third canto and a 17-12 advantage in the third frame.
Landon Shreve had a game-high 17 points to lead Elkins. Isaiah Nutter followed with 11.
River McClain and Cayden Cooper had 15 points apiece for East Fairmont, which is now 4-2 overall and 1-1 in Big 10 play) and will visit league foe Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. today.
The Tigers (0-5, 0-2) play host to Class AAA, fourth-rated Robert C. Byrd at 7:30 p.m. Friday for another Big 10 contest.
