Morris nets 20 in 53-37 win over Bridgeport

ELKINS -- Elin Morris scored 20 points as fourth-seed Elkins claimed a 53-37 victory over No. 5 Bridgeport Thursday evening in Class AAA, Region II action.

The Lady Tigers (9-9) will travel to top-seed Keyser at 7 p.m. Tuesday in seeking a state tourney berth.

No. 3 Hampshire visits No. 2 Lewis County in the other regional final.

Morris had four treys on the night as Elkins built a 13-6 lead after one quarter and carried a 26-8 advantage into the intermission.

Avery Humble led the Lady Indians, who finished the season 6-17, with 14 points.
