Vincent nets 29 to lead Cougars over Tigers, 67-61

SHINNSTON — Cole Vincent scored 11 of his game-high 29 points in the third quarter to lead Lincoln to a 67-61 win over Elkins Monday night in Big 10 Conference action.

The Tigers held a 33-32 lead at halftime but were outscored 18-12 in the third and 17-16 in the final canto.

Landon Shreve tossed in 25 points for Elkins, followed by Dreyton Boggs with 18 and Isaiah Nutter with 10.

Max Myers added 15 and Luke Joyce 14 for the Cougars, who are now 7-10 and entertain Philip Barbour at 7:30 p.m. today in a conference contest.

The Tigers (4-12) will visit Grafton this evening as well for a league tilt.
