All-Region honors roll in for Davis & Elkins College Senator track and field

ELKINS– The Davis & Elkins College women’s track and field distance squad earned multiple Atlantic Region honors and national rankings following the conclusion of the 2026 indoor season.

Three Senator athletes earned Atlantic All-Region recognition, awarded to individuals who rank in the top five in the region in an event or are part of a top-three relay.

Savanna Hardman led the way with All-Region honors in the 3,000-meter run after recording the fastest time in the Atlantic Region this season. Her performance also set a new Mountain East Conference indoor record and currently ranks 34th nationally in NCAA Division II.

Lauren Twyman earned All-Region honors in the 800-meter run, while Jordan Thomas collected All-Region recognition in the 5,000-meter run.

The Senators also received All-Region honors in the distance medley relay. The quartet of Twyman, Hardman, Jeanne Pelissier and Cameryn Wheeler posted the fastest time in the Atlantic Region and set a new MEC indoor record in the event.

As a team, Davis & Elkins finished eighth in the Atlantic Region rankings out of 36 programs despite competing in just five of the 17 indoor track events, focusing exclusively on distance races.

The Senators also produced several nationally ranked event squads, which are determined by the combined average times of the top four athletes in each event.

The women’s 3,000-meter squad posted an average time of 10:06.40, ranking 18th in the nation and first in both the Atlantic Region and MEC. The women’s 5,000-meter squad recorded an average of 17:43.99, also ranking 18th nationally and first in the region and conference.

Davis & Elkins’ women’s mile squad averaged 5:04.30, good for 29th in the nation and first in both the Atlantic Region and MEC.
