PHILIPPI — Philip Barbour is headed back to the state tournament for the fifth straight season after claiming a 50-40 win over Petersburg Thursday night in a Class AA, Region II co-final.

The Lady Colts (16-8) will be the seventh seed in Charleston, facing No. 2 Williamstown (19-3) at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the quarterfinals inside the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.

The other quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday is Wheeling Central vs. No. 6 Wayne at 11:15 a.m.

On Tuesday, No. 4 Charleston Catholic battles. No. 5 Wyoming East at 11:15 a.m. and top-seed James Monroe faces No. 8 Lincoln at 7:15 p.m.

Izzy Knotts had 22 points in Philip Barbour’s victory on Thursday.

Miley Tingler led the Lady Vikings, who finished the season 15-7, with 18.
