TENNERTON -- Maddie Tucker had three hits and Kynnedy Marple a pair of RBIs and earned the win on the mound to carry surging Buckhannon-Upshur to a 10-4 win over North Marion Thursday in Big 10 play.
The Lady Bucs have won five straight games to improve to 6-1.
Marple went four innings to earn the win, giving up two runs on five hits, fanning six with no walks.
Kristine Frye added two hits and drove in three for B-U, which visits Oak Hill on Saturday afternoon.
Keyser 9, Elkins 1
KEYSER -- Elkins High School dropped a 9-1 decision to Keyser Thursday in softball action.
Bibs Felton homered and had three RBIs in the win.
Kailynn Burns added a pair of hits.
Maddie Lambert took the loss, going 3 1/3 innings and allowing nine runs on nine hits.
She struck out one.
Leighton Johnson earned the victory, giving up one run on one hit in going all five innings. She recorded 11 strikeouts.
Gabby Mahanes had the lone hit for the Lady Tigers, who are now 1-3 and will host Fairmont Senior this evening.
Lewis County 20, PB 5
WESTON -- Three different players had three RBIs each to lift Lewis County to a 20-5 win over Philip Barbour Thursday in Big 10 action.
Raelynn Heath, Brooklyn Novak and Emma Harris each knocked in three runs for the Minutemaids on the day.
Payton Holbert had a grand slam for the Lady Colts, Olivia Wilmoth added a pair of safeties.
Jhenna Hicks was tagged with the loss, while Haleigh Bishop earned the win.
Hicks had three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings of work.
Philip Barbour (0-5) visits Tucker County today for a non-conference contest.
TV 24, Pocahontas County 9
HUTTONSVILLE -- Macy Bell drove in four runs as Tygarts Valley collected a 24-9 win over Pocahontas County on Thursday.
Bell had a two-run homer in the second inning.
Lilly Lanham worked three innings to garner the win, striking out four.
The Lady Bulldogs had 22 hits on the day, with Kailen Yokum and Audrey Chandler collecting four apiece.
Emily Smith, Yokum and Chandler had three RBIs each, while Addie Riddle and Hannah Cabaniss had a pair.
Tygarts Valley visits Trinity Christian today.
