ELKINS — Zeya Price’s cracked a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Elkins rallied for a 7-6 win over Tygarts Valley Monday night at Betty Heckel Field.
The Lady Tigers trailed 6-4 entering the frame before mounting a comeback.
Meria Tarley and Addison Carr started the inning with singles with Tarley scoring to cut the lead to 6-5.
After Gabby Mahanes into a fielder’s choice for the first out of the frame, Maddie Lambert drew a walk.
Braelynn Washington then reached to load the bases for Mady Shreve, who singled to right to plate Mahanes and tie the score.

Price followed with a single to right to bring home courtesy-runner Hannah Helmick with the game-winning run.
A two-run homer by Addie Riddle had gave the Lady Bulldogs a 6-4 lead in the seventh.
Tygarts Valley took a 2-0 lead with a pair of unearned runs in the third.
Mahanes and Washington had RBI singles in the fourth to draw Elkins even.
Macy Bell answered for the Lady Bulldogs with a two-run single in the fifth to make it 4-2.
Tygarts Valley tacked on a single runs in the sixth when Emily Smith tripled and scored on Destinee Watson’s groundout.
An RBI single by Washington and an error allowed the Lady Tigers to get within 5-4 in the sixth.
Carr and Lambert both saw time on the hill for Elkins.
Carr went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits with three strikeouts and Lambert tossed three innings, surrendering four runs on five hits and fanning two.
Lilly Lanham went the distance for the Lady Bulldogs, fanning two.
Elkins (9-13) remains home Wednesday to battle defending Class A state champion Pendleton County.
Tygarts Valley (6-10) will visit Pendleton County this evening.
