TENNERTON — Charity Talbott struck out 10 in a complete-game effort as Buckhannon-Upshur blanked Elkins, 9-0, on Saturday.

Talbott allowed just four hits and walked two.

She also helped her cause with a two-run single as part of a five-run sixth inning. Talbott was 2 for 3 on the day with three RBIs.

Payton Brown added a two-run triple in the sixth as well and Zoey Burr a run-producing double in the third.

Addison Carr went 2 for 3 for the Lady Tigers.

Maddie Lambert was tagged with the loss.

Both teams also faced Parkersburg South on Saturday, with Elkins dropping a 20-5 verdict and the Lady Bucs taking a 16-2 win as Braylea Squires had four RBIs, including a three-run homer.

Kynnedy Marple earned the win, allowing three hits on going all five innings. She fanned four.

Braelynn Washington had two hits and two RBIs and Zeya Price a pair of RBIs for the Lady Tigers in the loss to Parkersburg.

Both teams are back in action today as Elkins (5-11) visits Bridgeport and B-U (16-6) entertains Grafton.
