PARSONS — Rylee White’s walk-off single in the eighth inning lifted Tucker County to an 8-7 win over Tygarts Valley in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs had tied the game with two runs in the seventh to force extra innings as Audrey Chandler’s solo homer tied the game at 7-7.

Peyton Hicks went 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the Lady Mountain Lion also earning the win on the mound.

She gave up seven runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out 12 and walking three in going the distance.

Lilly Lanham was saddled with the loss.

Bella Loucks added three hits for Tucker County.

Hallie Ellis had a pair of RBIs for Tygarts Valley, while Lanham and Emily Smith had two hits apiece.

Kailen Yokum and Macy Bell added RBIs.

On Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs picked up an 11-9 road win over Calhoun County as Chandler had three hits, including an inside-the-park homer, and finished with three RBIs.

Ellis and Smith also had three safeties each and Addie Riddle and Lanham two RBIs apiece.

Lanham earned the win, striking out three in going the distance.
