Lady Tigers split with Lady Cougars

BAKER — Elkins split a pair of games against East Hardy on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers took the lidlifter, 16-2, as Maddie Lambert worked all five innings, allowing two unearned runs on six hits and fanning four with no walks.

She also helped herself at the plate by collecting three hits and three RBIs.

Hailey Riffle also tallied three hits and a pair of RBIs, while Meria Tarley had a three-run inside-the-park homer and Gabby Mahanes three RBIs.

Mady Shreve added two triples and Addison Carr an RBI double as part of the 15-hit attack for Elkins.

The Lady Cougars took the nightcap, 10-2, as Madison Strosnider tossed a five-inning, five-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

Riffle went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Lady Tigers and Tarley added an RBI.

Jaylynn Combs was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for East Hardy. Gracie Heisham added three RBIs.

The Lady Tigers (10-14) are slated to visit Fairmont Senior Thursday for a Big 10 Conference contest.
