Mosesso, Jones power Colts over Polar Bears
Bulldogs earn win over Cee Bees
PHILIPPI — Anthony Mosesso cracked two homers and Robbie Jones a grand slam as Philip Barbour picked up an 11-1 win over Fairmont Senior Tuesday night in Big 10 Conference play.
Mosesso homered in each of the first and fourth innings, while Jones’ slam highlighted a seven-run fourth inning.
Landyn Carpenter added two hits and two RBIs for the Colts.
Kale Wolfe went all five innings to earn the win, allowing four hits and striking out four with one walk.
Philip Barbour (12-11) visits North Marion on Friday.

BLACKSVILLE — Corbin Oldaker twirled a three-hitter to lead Tygarts Valley to an 11-2 victory over Clay-Battelle on Tuesday night.
Oldaker allowed just one earned run, collecting 10 strikeouts and walking two.
Leading 1-0, the Bulldogs scored five runs in the second to take control.
Jacob Wamsley had a two-run single in the frame, Adam Woods drew a bases-loaded free pass and Preston Smith cracked an RBI single.
Smith was 3 for 5 on the night with a double and two RBIs.
Austin Wilson’s run-producing single extended the lead to 7-0 in the third, and Tygarts Valley tacked on three runs in the fifth and a single run in the seventh.
Corey Coen took the loss for the Cee Bees in 2 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs on four hits and striking out five.
The Bulldogs (13-11) return home at 6 p.m. today to battle Pendleton County.

Lady Bulldogs split with Webster County
UPPER GLADE — Tygarts Valley split a pair of games against Webster County on Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 24-3 win in the lidlifter as Audrey Chandler knocked in seven runs on four hits.
Chandler had a bases-clearing single in the first, a three-run double in the third and drew a bases-loaded walk in the first inning as well.
Tygarts Valley had 13 hits and took advantage of 16 walks in the three-inning affair which ended early due to the mercy rule.
Kailen Yokum added two hits and two RBIs in the win, while Daelyn Leach had two RBIs and winning pitcher Lilly Lanham a pair of hits and an RBI.
Lanham went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out five.
The Lady Highlanders avoided the sweep with a 15-5 win in the nightcap as Lexi Snyder and Jazzmyne Travis had three RBIs each.
Snyder and Travis each had two-run singles in the victory.
Addie Riddle, Yokum, Macy Bell and Chander had RBIs for Tygarts Valley. Yokum tallied three hits.
Bell was tagged with the loss on the hill.
Jade Bragg garnered the win for Webster County in going all five frames. She fanned six and didn’t issue a walk.
The Lady Bulldogs (7-11) visit Fairmont Senior at noon on Saturday.
