Colts, Bucs represented on all-Big 10 first team
PB’s Kale Wolfe named league’s Pitcher of the Year
PHILIPPI — Philip Barbour and Buckhannon-Upshur placed players on the all-Big 10 Conference baseball first team.
The Colts were represented by senior Kale Wolfe, who was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year, junior infielder Landyn Carpenter and junior first baseman Anthony Mosesso
The Bucs’ Brody McDaniels, a junior infielder, also earned first-team laurels.
The remainder of the first unit includes Robert C. Byrd senior Cooper Floyd, the conference’s Player of the Year, RCB senior outfielder Xavier Carvelli, Grafton sophomore outfielder Cameron Gray, Bridgeport junior outfielder Luke Rohrig, East Fairmont senior infielder Owen Music, Grafton sophomore infielder Carter Gillespie, Bridgeport senior infielder Kasen Baun, Preston junior catcher Bryson McNew, Bridgeport senior utility player Owen Sondericker, East Fairmont senior pitcher Jackson Waskis and Bridgeport senior pitcher Blake Butcher.
B-U senior outfielder Jerin Westfall and junior infielder Jaxon Spratt earned second-team honors.
They are joined by East Fairmont junior outfielder River McClain, Bridgeport junior outfielder Jax McNally, Lincoln junior outfielder Alex Greene, Lewis County junior infielder Joel Good, Fairmont Senior junior infielder Xavier Marino-Garcia, Fairmont Senior freshman infielder Marcus Izdepski, East Fairmont senior infielder Brody Blesoe, Bridgeport senior first baseman Guy Avolio, East Fairmont senior catcher Case Linn, Grafton sophomore utility player Grant Murphy, Lincoln senior pitcher AJ Bart, Grafton junior pitcher Jacob Moats and Preston junior pitcher Tanner Thomas.
Bridgeport’s Robert Shields was named the league’s Coach of the Year.
