Randolph County cruises to 15-1 win over Post 44

ELKINS — Randolph County Junior Legion used a 13-hit attack to cruise past Barbour County Post 44, 15-1, Wednesday night at Elkins High School Field.
Cooper Markley went 2 for 4 with three RBIs for RC, while Trent Stone went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, Will Kilgore 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Dyer Barger had a pair of hits and two RBIs and Drew Arbogast and Blayne Thompson had RBIs.
Stone went all five innings to earn the win, allowing just three hits and fanning seven.
Robbie Jones was saddled with the loss in 2 2/3 innings of work, allowing 12 runs — only six earned — on eight hits and striking out a pair.
Owen Norris finished in relief.

Jones had two hits for Post 44.
Randolph County bounced back from a 4-2 loss at Keyser Post 41 Junior Legion on Tuesday night.
Markley, who had an RBI, took the loss on the hill, allowing four runs on three hits, striking out nine and not walking a batter in going all six innings.
Cam Larkin had a two-run single for Keyser.
Randolph County is now 5-6 on the season and will visit Doddridge County at 6 p.m. Monday.
