Judy, Driscoll to be inducted into Hall of Fame

ELKINS -- Cliff Judy lettered in basketball from 1977-1979 at Harman High School. His team placed second in the Little Mountain Conference his junior year with a record of 16-5, along with a record point spread of 47 points.
Judy led his team in scoring his junior year averaging 17.8 per game, scoring in double figures in all but one game and had eight 20 plus scoring games. He made All Conference first team averaging 18 points per game along with All Tournament honors. That year his total points were 356.
His senior year, Judy once again averaged 18 points per game, scored double figures in all but one game and had seven 20 plus scoring games with sevent double doubles. Season total points that year were 389. He was placed on the All Conference first team as well as being selected to the All Tournament team. His team was first in the Little Mountain Conference his senior year recording 12 straight wins. This team also set a school record by averaging 78 points per game.

Few athletes in Tygarts Valley High School history demonstrated the range, consistency and championship-level talent of Monica Wamsley Driscoll, whose career across volleyball, basketball, track and field and cheer mascot left a lasting mark on the Bulldogs athletic program.
Graduating in 2005, Monica first emerged as a standout in track and field, qualifying for the State Track Meet in the high jump in 2002 and again in 2004, establishing herself early as one of the region's top jumpers.
In 2003, she earned a sixth-place finish at the State Track Meet, a breakthrough that set the stage for her greatest accomplishment -- becoming the 2005 State Champion in the High Jump, the highest honor in West Virginia high school track and field.
On the local level, in 2003 and 2005, Monica was the Potomac Valley Conference champion in high jump. While her track achievements were exceptional, Monica was equally impactful on the basketball court. A key contributor from the start, she helped lead Tygarts Valley to a sectional and regional championship in 2002-2003 followed by owning a spot in the state final four, one of the most successful runs in program history.
Over her career, she compiled 708 points, 660 rebounds, and 184 blocks, numbers that reflect her presence as a dominant inside force. With Monica on the roster, the Bulldogs posted a 58-36 record, a testament to her consistency and leadership. Her senior season added another accolade -- selection to the All-PVC Basketball Team in 2004-2005. From state championships to final four appearances, Driscoll’s career stands as one of the most well-rounded and accomplished in Tygarts Valley High School history.
