PORTSMOUTH, Oh. – The Davis & Elkins College men’s soccer team remained unbeaten on the season after claiming a 2-0 victory over Shawnee State University Wednesday in Mountain East Conference action.
The Senators (6-0-1, 4-0-1) received two first half goals from Benjamin Luengo and Johan Magana in the win. It was the third goal of the season for both Luengo and Magana. Souleymane Baal assisted on one of the scores.
Davis & Elkins held a 19-0 edge in shots-on-goal and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Senators will entertain West Virginia Wesleyan for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.

Shawnee State 2, D&E 1
PORTSMOUTH, Oh. – The Davis & Elkins College women’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Shawnee State University Saturday in Mountain East Conference action.
The Lady Senators (3-4-1, 2-4) trailed 2-0 at intermission before Kristia Kouppi scored her first goal of the season for Davis & Elkins to cut the deficit in half late in regulation.
D&E outshot the Lady Bears (1-4-2, 1-3-2) 13-3 in the contest and held a 6-0 edhe in corner kicks.
The Lady Senators will entertain West Virginia Wesleyan for a 12:30 p.m. matchup on Saturday.
