FLEMINGTON -- Elkins High School's cross country teams made a clean sweep of the top awards at Saturday's Class, AAA North Regional meet.
Individually, Julia Biola and Trevor George captured their third consecutive wins this season to pace their respective Tiger squads to team titles.
In addition to Biola, who cruised the 5-kilometer course in 18:46, three other EHS girls earned medals by finishing in the Top 10: Emilia Tenney (fourth, 19:18), Clara Pyles sixth, 19:57) and Molly McFadden (seventh, 20:02). Haley Kelley (12th, 20:49) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers and teammates Flora Perkins (22nd, 22:26) and Willow Tallman (26th, 22:53) also chipped in on the win.
Elkins' team score of 29 points was well ahead of runner-up Bridgeport's 65.
Four other schools also qualified for the state meet from the North Region -- Fairmont Senior (83 points), Grafton (111), John Marshall (121) and East Fairmont (142). Other complete girls teams included Keyser (157), Robert C. Byrd (222) and North Marion (226).

Saturday's win for the EHS boys marked their fourth consecutive regional crown, after previously taking titles at home in 2023 and 2024 and at Preston in 2025.
"We depend upon our seniors to act as leaders," said EHS coach Scott Biola. "Julia, Emilia, Trevor and Dylan were our top performers today and -- just as importantly --we are counting on them to help us stay in the right headspace this week."
"Both teams ran exceptionally well," added EHS assistant coach Todd Price. "Trevor and Julia ran super strategic races and we're super proud of all of our kids."
This Saturday's state meet will be hosted by Cabell Midland High School in Ona.
The EHS girls will step off at 9 a.m. and the boys race is set for 9:45 a.m.
