The Tigers, who were idle last week, dropped two spots in this week's WVSSAC Class AAA playoff ratings and will visit historic East-West Stadium tonight to battle Fairmont Senior.
Elkins, which has won five straight games, looks to halt a 13-game losing skid against the Polar Bears, with the last win over Senior coming in 2012.
Despite a 2-5 record, the Polar Bears are 11th in this week's ratings on the strength of wins over quad-A schools Preston and B-U.
They are coming off a 40-7 setback to Bluefield.
At Freal "Red" Crites Memorial Stadium in Tennerton, Class AAAA, No. 12 Buckhannon-Upshur battles Lincoln.
The Bucs (3-4) cruised past East Fairmont, 62-28, last Friday as quarterback Brody McDaniels threw for four scores and ran for another.

At George Byrer Field at Freedom Bank Park in Philippi, the Colts (4-3) should be well-rested after being idle last Friday when Lewis County pays a visit.
They are eighth in this week's Class AA ratings and last took the field in a 41-28 win at Petersburg.
The Minutemen, meanwhile, are seeking their first win of the season. They fell 49-9 last Friday at North Marion.
At Cavalier Stadium in Charmco, Tucker County and Greenbrier West are set for a Class A battle.
The Mountain Lions (3-4) have moved back in the running for playoff berth after last week's win over Southern Garrett (Md.) as Cade Rapp rushed for 130 yards and a score. They are 14th in the latest ratings.
The Cavaliers (5-2) are rated ninth and blanked Montcalm, 32-0, last Friday.
This will be only the second time the schools have met on the gridiron, with Tucker County claiming a 31-21 victory in 2003.
All contests begin at 7 p.m.
Tygarts Valley is off this week and will return to action at Pocahontas County next Friday.
