Injunction filed to halt Corridor H construction

WARDENSVILLE – Citizen and environmental groups have filed a federal injunction to halt construction on a new section of Corridor H, just weeks after the state awarded a contract to build it. The Stewards of the Potomac Highlands and the Virginia Wilderness Committee filed the motion for a preliminary injunction in the U.S. District Court's Northern District of West Virginia. Elkins man facing a felony charge

ELKINS — A Randolph County man faces a felony charge for driving with his license revoked for DUI for a third time. David Lynn Pritt Sr., 70, of Elkins, is charged with one count of driving with a revoked DUI third offense, a felony. Pritt was being held on a $5,000 10% cash bond that has since been posted. According to the criminal complaint, filed by Trooper R.K. Unseasonably hot weather on its way to region

EMS public meeting cancelled

ELKINS — A public meeting which was scheduled for Wednesday to discuss a planned excess levy for the Randolph County Ambulance Authority has been canceled, officials said.     The meeting was set to take place at the Randolph County Emergency Squad facility in the Elkins Industrial Park.
