Buckhannon Trunk or Treat event to return

BUCKHANNON - TThe annual Trunk or Treat hosted by the Upshur County Family Resource Network, the Buckhannon City Police Department and Volunteers In Police Service will return on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Public Safety Complex in Buckhannon. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public will not be allowed to enter the Trunk or Treat area until 6:30 p.m., but the Upshur County Family Resource Network ensures participants that the trunks will stay open until the last family goes through. Prescribed burns scheduled for Mon Forest

MARLINTON - More than 700 acres of the Monongahela National Forest in Pocahontas and Tucker counties will be burned as part of a roll out of prescribed burns this fall. The U.S. Forest Service has announced that Monongahela National Forest staff plan to conduct prescribed burns on 726 acres in Pocahontas and Tucker counties.
