ELKINS — Elkins Automotive, located off the Beverly Five-lane in Elkins, is committed to providing and servicing the finest vehicles in the North Central West Virginia region while giving back to the community.

This year, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, a 501c3 nonprofit behavioral health organization, received a grant through the West Virginia Development Office — Neighborhood Investment Tax Credit Program. The tax credits were used to help Highland-Clarksburg Hospital increase charitable giving, to support the indigent patients and the therapeutic programs.

Elkins Automotive owner Jim Jackson found this N.I.P. program to be a great opportunity to support local.  Highland-Clarksburg Hospital is very appreciative of this grant, and the donors who participate.

“It is a win-win situation,” said Shannon Putnam, marketing director for Highland-Clarksburg Hospital.

Highland-Clarksburg Hospital is still reaching out to businesses (any business in West Virginia) that may need tax credits for 2016 as the year comes to an end Dec. 31, 2016. Tax credits will also be available through March 2017 as well.

Jackson said, “I enjoy giving to places such as Highland-Clarksburg Hospital because the service provided is critical to so many. The children and youth crisis unit is amazing, and if Elkins Automotive can donate a transport van to assist those individuals in crisis we are happy to help.”

The North Central West Virginia behavioral Health Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, has been serving the state for just a little over three years now. The donation of this van will allow transportation to and from many necessary appointments, and other needs which occur.  If your business is interested in taking advantage of the tax credits, while giving back to those less fortunate, please contact Shannon Putnam, Marketing Director for Highland-Clarksburg Hospital at 304-969-3100
