Rotary welcomes Edin as member
ELKINS — The Rotary Club of Elkins has welcomed Pastor Tim Edin of the First United Methodist Church as a new member.
Edin comes to Elkins from Bruceton Mills in Preston County where he served Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. Edin and his wife Jami are parents to four children: Jordan Makenzi, Canaan Marshall, Gideon James and Levi Curtis.
Pastor Edin is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute, Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York, Northeastern Seminary and United Theological Seminary.
Edin brings a wealth of experience with community service organizations to his membership in Rotary. He has been involved various organizations including Kiwanis, Child Evangelism Fellowship of WV, Youth for Christ, Internal Student Campus Ministry, North Central WV Community Action, Faith in Action, Union Mission in Fairmont and the Family Resource Network.
“Joining Rotary is a very important step in my goal of becoming a deeper part of the Elkins community. I hope to work with these other community leaders to improve and enhance our current town and county so that we can be the best for all of our families and those who look to us for leadership,” said Edin.
The Edin family enjoys spending time in the Elkins area parks and getting to know their neighbors. They also enjoy all of the resources and programming and creative opportunities that Elkins has to offer. They are happy to be an encouragement and hope to see the community grow together with their family.
“I want to take this opportunity to invite everyone in the community to attend our congregation. We have several services and many services projects. I would love to speak to anyone who is interested in being part of the growth of our church. My email is PastorTimedin@yahoo.com,” Edin said.
