Women of WV Bluegrass Concert set

BUCKHANNON — Ridgeline Promotions is presenting a concert and dinner featuring the Women of WV Bluegrass at the Opera House in Buckhannon on March 22.
Dinner buffet will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the concert at 7 p.m. The dinner will consist of Buckhannon’s well-known grilled chicken served with baked beans, baked potato and soft drinks. The ticket includes both the dinner and concert. Tickets for tables of 10 can be purchased together. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
The Women of WV Bluegrass is a concert series and a unique collection of accomplished female bluegrass musicians from around the state. The Women of WV Bluegrass showcases some of the talented female bluegrass musicians and vocalists who have grown up in West Virginia and who have gained many years of experience in a variety of settings.
Members of the Women of WV Bluegrass include Bailey Stephenson from Wheeling on banjo, Rebecca Traugh from Waverly on fiddle, Tracey Greenleaf Miller from Spencer on guitar, Carol Edwards from Copen on bass and Rachel Singleton Burge from Ivydale on mandolin.
The Opera House in Buckhannon is a historic and spacious venue that once housed the G. C. Murphy’s 5 &10 Cent Store in downtown Buckhannon and was converted into an event space by CJ Rylands. It has hosted receptions, dinners, meetings and concerts and offers excellent accommodations and service.
Ridgeline Promotions, founded by Buck Edwards, is an events promotion company located in Buckhannon whose mission is to promote West Virginia artists. In addition to developing the Women of WV Bluegrass it has also successfully developed and promoted the Legends of WV Bluegrass featuring the late Buddy Griffin 2023 WV Music Hall of Fame, Jackie Kincad and Roger Hoard and The Masters of the Six String showcasing Robert Shafer, Robin Kessinger, Seth Maynard and Roger Hoard.
