EDITOR’S NOTE: The Community Calendar is reserved for nonprofit, civic organizations. Unless otherwise noted, events listed should be considered free and open to the public. Entries appear in chronological order and as space allows.

SPECIAL BREAKFAST: The International Order of Odd Fellows are sponsoring a breakfast Saturday at their lodge at Fifth & Thomas Street in Davis. The menu will include sausage patties, pancakes with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits. Coffee or orange juice will be included. There is a price for breakfast for adults, and a lesser price for children 12 years and under, and children under 6 years are free. Breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and end at noon or until sold out.

ALUMNI BANQUET: The 91st Beverly School Alumni Banquet will be Saturday at the Beverly Elementary School. Registration and Social Hour will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Everyone who attended Beverly School is invited to attend. MEETING: The Randolph County Association of Retired School Personnel will meet Friday, May 30, at the Steer Steakhouse, with  lunch at noon. The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. Program from Silver Sneakers, Scholarship Auction.  All school retirees welcome.  For Information, call 304-636-7649

YARD SALE FUNDRAISER: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, beside Camp Pioneer, will host an annual inside yard sale, June 6 and June 7 from  8 a.m. to   3 p.m. Furniture, electronics, tools, toys and games, home goods, collectibles and more. Great prices, friendly atmosphere, plenty of parking.  Breakfast, lunch and baked goods available. Sale benefits the many ministries the Ladies Missionary Group provides.

OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in. Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo, Dulcimer, Bass are welcome. Participants enter through the back door. For more information, contact dp-foot@hotmail.com.

WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: The weekly Wednesday jam sessions, sponsored by the Augusta Heritage Center, are taking place next-door to Augusta, at Armadillo Flats, on Davis Avenue in Elkins. Open to pickers and singers of all levels, the Country Music Jams are from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and Old Time Jams follow, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Look for entry signage at Armadillo Flats, or enter from C.J. TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Meeting following weigh in. For information contact Jane Robinson at 304 338-6403.
