Elkins Corridor Medical Center has served10,000 patient visits

ELKINS — Just two months after opening its doors, the WVU Medicine Elkins Corridor Medical Center is proud to announce it has served its 10,000th patient visit.

This milestone demonstrates the community’s swift adoption of the new facility and its commitment to delivering high-quality, locally accessible healthcare, officials said.

The 38,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical center opened on Sept. 4 to provide comprehensive, centralized medical services to residents of Randolph County and the surrounding region. Previously, many patients were forced to travel long distances to receive specialized care.

“Reaching 10,000 patient visits in such a short time is a powerful testament to the community’s trust in our mission,” said Abby Haddix, MSN, RN, director of Ambulatory Services at Elkins Corridor Medical Center. “We built this facility to serve our neighbors, and this milestone shows we are meeting a significant need for convenient, local healthcare that eliminates the burden of long travel times.”

The facility now offers a range of services, including:

* Family and preventive care.

* Rapid care for same-day needs.

* Advanced imaging and lab services.

* Infusion services.

* Rotating specialty clinics in fields such as cardiology, oncology, and orthopedics.

“From primary care to specialty services, the Elkins Corridor Medical Center is a path that leads straight to fast, compassionate care, right here at home in Elkins,” said Owais Rafique, AVP of Provider Practices. “We look forward to continuing to grow with and serve this community for years to come”.

The center’s strategic location off Corridor H was designed to bring a wide array of services together in one central hub. The successful first two months of operation indicate that this “hospital without beds” model is effectively delivering on its promise, officials said.
