ELKINS — Douglas K. Weese, President & CEO of Mountain Valley Bank, N.A. has announced the addition of three new team members to the bank’s staff.
Barbara Gordon has joined Mountain Valley Bank as Assistant Controller, bringing strong technical, analytical and organizational skills to her position. Prior to beginning her career in banking, Gordon spent over 35 years in the healthcare industry, where she gained significant accounting, finance and managerial experience.
Gordon is a 2012 graduate of Daytona State College with a BS in Business Administration. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business and Strategic Leadership from Amberton University. In 2018, Gordon attended the Halifax Health Leadership Academy program and earned her leadership certification.
Prior to moving to West Virginia, Gordon resided in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and now resides in Montrose with her husband Richard. She is the daughter of John and Patricia Murphy of Joliet, Illinios.
Lukas Barger has been named Information Technology Manager. Barger joins Mountain Valley Bank’s senior leadership team after serving in the IT profession for nearly a decade. Barger is a native of Randolph County and a 2015 graduate of West Virginia University with a BS in Business Administration. His degree includes a major in Management Information Systems with a minor in Communication Studies.

Barger brings a strong IT knowledge base, as well as passion and enthusiasm to his role as IT Manager. Lukas resides in Beverly and is the son of Shelton and Kenna Barger of Beverly.
Tawnya Holbrook has joined Mountain Valley Bank as a mortgage loan officer. Holbrook graduated with honors from Philip Barbour High School and attended West Virginia University. Her career in mortgage lending and real estate spans more than two decades. Holbrook earned her West Virginia Real Estate licenses in 2001 and later became an Associate Broker.
In 2008, Holbrook transitioned to mortgage lending starting as a Housing Credit Counselor and later became a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. Holbrook holds numerous certifications in mortgage lending and housing counseling.
Her strong and extensive background in both lending and real estate augments our bank’s mortgage lending operations and provides her a unique perspective on helping customers. She resides in Huttonsville with her husband, Brian, son, Andrew and fur baby Milo.
