Teter CEOS meet

Vice President Nancy Hackett called the meeting of the Teter CEOS to order when they met on Feb. 19 in the Tennerton UMC Fellowship Hall. Kay Wayts offered thanks for the meal provided by hostesses, Millie Hornbeck and Janet Smith.

Lowell Wayts led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Happy Birthday was sung to Millie Hornbeck and Rita Cochran.

Nancy announced that our ornament had received first place in the 2025 Christmas Ornament Contest. Vonnie Hager and Nancy attended the Advisory Board meeting in January where they received our clubs 2026 handbooks.

The Upshur Parish House was chosen as the 2026 County Project. Also, Lynn Frum was chosen to represent the CEOS as Strawberry Belle for the 2026 WV Strawberry Festival in May.

Members received information on the Achievement Banquet to be held on March 30 at the Wayside Baptist Church. Also, plans were made to attend the Weston Area Meeting at the Stonewall Resort on April 22.

A discussion was held on fund raisers for the group. Further plans will be made at our next meeting in March when more information is available.

The lesson for this month, “Happy, Healthy Hobbies” was distributed to those in attendance – Kathy Black, Rita Cochran, Cathy DeBarr, Lynn Frum, Cheryl Gaunt, Nancy Hackett, Vonnie Hager, Betty Hinkle, Millie Hornbeck, Betty Oldaker, Cynthia Parker, Iris Perry, Janet Smith, Iris Mae Swecker, Kay and Lowell Wayts and Justine Woody.
