Local cities, counties to receive funds

CHARLESTON — Local cities, towns and counties will receive millions in funding through the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill signed by President Joe Biden on Thursday.

The following totals came from information distributed during a Zoom conference between Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and members of the West Virginia Municipal League, the West Virginia Association of Counties and the West Virginia County Commissioners Association.

Estimated funds to be received by local counties include:

• Randolph County will receive $5.57 million

• Upshur County will receive $4.69 million

• Barbour County will receive $3.19 million

• Tucker County will receive $1.33 million

• Pocahontas County will receive $1.60 million

• Grant County will receive $2.24 million

• Hardy County will receive $2.67 million

• Harrison County will receive $13.04 million

• Lewis County will receive $3.09 million

• Pendleton County will receive $1.35 million

• Webster County will receive $1.57 million.

Estimated funds to be received by local cities and towns include:

• In Randolph County, Elkins will receive $2.91 million

• Mill Creek will receive $290,000

• Beverly will receive $280,000

• Womelsdorf (Coalton) will receive $100,000

• Huttonsville will receive $90,000

• Montrose will receive $60,000

• In Upshur County, Buckhannon will receive $2.24 million

• In Barbour County, Philippi will receive $1.36 million

• Belington will receive $790,000

• Junior will receive $200,000

• In Tucker County, Parsons will receive $580,000

• Davis will receive $260,000

• Thomas will receive $230,000

• Hendricks will receive $110,000

• Hambleton will receive $90,000

• In Pocahontas County, Marlinton will receive $400,000

• Durbin will receive $120,000

• Hillsboro will receive $100,000

• In Grant County, Petersburg will receive $1.10 million

• Bayard will receive $110,000

• In Hardy County, Moorefield will receive $1.01 million

• Wardensville will receive $110,000

• In Harrrison County, Clarksburg will receive $6.34 million

• Bridgeport will receive $3.68 million

• Salem will receive $630,000

• Lumberport will receive $350,000

• Anmore will receive $310,000

• Lost Creek will receive $190,000

• In Lewis County, Weston will receive $1.61 million

• Jane Lew will receive $160,000

• In Pendleton County, Franklin will receive $270,000

• In Webster County, Addison (Webster Springs) will receive $280,000

• Cowen will receive $190,000

• Camden-on-Gauley will receive $60,000
