BEVERLY — 4-H Camp Pioneer will host a variety of camps this summer, offering safe, fun and educational activities, with sports, games, classes, caring adults and making new friends.
Two camp opportunities are available for all young people ages 5-21.
Randolph County All-Age Overnight Camp will be offered at 4-H Camp Pioneer June 4-9. The minimum age is 8 as of June 30, 2022, and the maximum age is 21 as of Sept. 30, 2023.
The cost for this week-long residential camp includes all meals and activities for the week. Discounts are available for those qualifying for free or reduced priced meals, and youth receiving insurance or aid through Aetna Better Health of West Virginia.
A new offering this year is Randolph County 4-H Cloverbud Day Camp, a camp introduction for the younger kids. The camp will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. June 19 – 22 at 4-H Camp Pioneer.
The minimum age is 5 years as of June 30, 2022, and the maximum age is 8 as of June 30, 2023.
The cost for this four-day experience includes all camp activities and lunch each day. Discounts are available for youth receiving insurance or aid through Aetna Better Health of West Virginia.
The theme for both camps is “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” which is a play on the holiday season and 4-H camp both being the best time of year. The 2023 U.S Capitol Christmas Tree is coming from the Monongahela National Forest, so learning and activities will surround the holidays and the national forest.
Through a focus on the four “Hs” of head, heart, hands and health, 4-H members learn to develop life skills and knowledge, build self-esteem and positive values, become more active citizens through service, and adopt healthy habits.
To register for 4-H camp, sign up for an account at 4h.zsuite.org. After account approval, participants can complete the camp registration forms.
