Planned power outage Saturday to affect towns in Randolph
ELKINS – The Randolph County Office of Emergency Services reports that a power outage is planned Saturday morning that will affect residents in Elkins, Mill Creek, Huttonsville, Valley Bend, Bowden, Glady and Wymer.
The Randolph County OEM posted on social media Friday morning a letter from James Connor, a regional external affairs consultant for Mon Power, which states that the planned power outage will begin at about 7 a.m. Saturday and last to about 1 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the outage will be rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 20.
The letter says anyone with questions should call 800-686-00022.
A second planned power outage is scheduled for the same areas on Saturday, Nov. 23, the letter states. This outage will last from approximately 7 a.m. to about 4 p.m.
The letter states, “Mon Power thanks you for your patience and understanding while we perform this work to improve your electric service reliability.”
