VITA program returns $1.2M across area

PHILIPPI — Philip Barbour saw 104 seniors receive their diplomas during Thursday night’s graduation ceremony held inside the school’s gymnasium. Elkins Council moves forward on TIF projects

ELKINS — The Elkins City Council unanimously approved the advancement of several Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District projects, including Riverfront Redevelopment, beginning an "engineering phase" for the projects. During the council's May 21 meeting, all 10 council members voted to approve Resolution 1919, "authorizing advancement of certain TIF District #1 projects and related engineering and procurement actions." Post 29 to host Memorial Day Ceremony

ELKINS — H.W. Daniels American Legion Post 29 will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the All-Veterans Memorial on Monday. "Memorial Day is an opportunity to be able to recognize those who are not able to be with us because they paid the ultimate sacrifice," said Elkins American Legion District Chairman Donnie Lambert.
