Courtney LeAnn Roy, 29, a resident of Whitmer, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at her home.
She was born June 3, 1993, in Elkins, a daughter of Sammy and Angela White Roy, who reside at Whitmer.
Also surviving is her paternal grandmother, Peggy Roy Mullennex of Job; several aunts and uncles, including Joyce Armentrout and husband, Ron, Janet Cooper and husband, Dwight, Sam White and companion, Patty Mullennex, Bob White and wife, Pam, Debbie Wyatt and husband, Chris, Stephanie Roy and Tammy Wolford and husband, Don; and cousins surviving include, Ellis Wyatt, Ethan Roy and wife, Sara, Heath Roy and companion, Sarah, Cassie Atkins and husband, Mike, Lilly Atkins, Joni Mullennex, Jessie Coss, Megan and Dakota Bennett, Melissa White, Montana Armentrout, Randy Armentrout and wife, Deanna, Steve Armentrout and wife, Tammy, Dana Bennett and husband, Chris, Braylen Bennett, Brentley Bland, Rylee and Wyatt Mullennex and Remington and Arleigh Coss.
Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, George W. Roy and Paul and Ethel White; step-grandfather, Dave Mullennex; and uncle, Darryl W. Roy.
Courtney was a graduate of Harman High School and a member of the Whitmer Church of God.
She was an animal lover, a crafter and enjoyed making wreaths.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at the Whitmer Church of God.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, from the church, with Pastor Jim Purnell, Pastor Clark “Tony” Bryant and Rev. Steve Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow in the White Cemetery near Harman.
Because of Courtney’s love of animals, the family request contributions are made to the Randolph County Humane Society, PO Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Courtney.
