Mable Lee Marks

Mable Lee Marks, 89, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life and went home to be with her family on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Lavender Fields Assisted Living at Beverly, West Virginia, and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
She was born Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1933, at Elkins, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Melvin Cooper Marks and Margaret Francis Green Marks.
Surviving are nieces and nephew, Margaret Marks and Rebecca Marks and husband, Randy Howell, all of Elkins and Lewis Marks and wife, Sarah, of Valley Head; and seven great- nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her twin brother, Melvin Thomas Marks.
She was a graduate of Riverside High School with the class of 1951. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was very active and considered Mother of the Church, choir director, pianist, secretary and treasurer. She was a member of a traveling bowling league and she considered herself a seamstress. She was an LPN at Davis Memorial Hospital. Mable was a loving Aunt, who will be greatly missed.
Mable’s request for cremation was honored.
